Where do the files downloaded from Steam Workshop go?
All Steam need to do is provide a 'manual' download button that lets you download mods without using the subscribe button. As yet they've laid out no plans to.
Download Steam Workshop Files
It should be in /Warband/Modules, right? But it's not there.
I've always played Warband via Steam but it's the first time I download mods from Workshop, since the mod (Warwolf) has to be downloaded from Workshop.
Steam Workshop Downloader
I notice when Steam is downloading the mod, it only downloads half of the complete files. I.e., Warwolf is supposed to be around 1 GB, but Steam only download 431 MB. Same goes when I tried with other mod (Gekokujo): it's around 700 MB but Steam only download 285 MB. (pic here)
What does it download actually, and where the files go?

- Can I please request that the devs flick whatever switch on steam. Like http: // steamworkshop. Download / to download workshop mods?
- Sep 16, 2013 - Even though Steam sells the same game, it will never recognise that a non-Steam game you add is the same game. If you want to have Workshop install Skyrim *cough* 'Fable 3' mods for you, you'll have to. @Ramhound Yeah, the OP knows Skyrim mods can be downloaded and installed by hand.
- Starbound runs for me anyway without steam even running so I don't think. Surely the devs can just enable steam workshop downloads?
- Enhanced Steam Workshop Downloader. Adds an extra button to download, supports collections and new workshop layout.

@Chlorophile:
Skyrim was the big hype of the year. The entire gaming world circled around that game, it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, as far as the media was concerned. Its player base was enormous. They could afford to have their community become split. Banished is an Indie game without any big names backing it up. The community is not large enough to split it in half like that. Skyrim also has another huge factor: It was a Steam game. Banished is both Steam and DRM-Free. I greatly dislike Steam and loathe when I must turn it on. I'd rather use the copy that I own than the copy that Steam owns.
@OP:
I'd have to go with doing things here (Though I feel a better forum software is necessary before that can be done effectively. If the developer happens to read this, perhaps Simple Machine Forums or even phpBB? Heck, even Zetaboards is preferable to this) For the same reasons as stated above. The community is not large enough to divide and, unlike many of your well known Steam Workshop titles, this one is not a Steam exclusive.
